Senior EU Affairs and Public Funding Manager


We are looking for an experienced and driven individual to lead on researching, preparing, submitting, and managing grant proposals/reports for EU institutional funders and European public funders that support Commit Global’s goals and meet funder guidelines and criteria.

Requirements

  • Between 3 to 5 years of experience in EU affairs and with institutional donors- EU funders and governments

  • Demonstrated analytical and persuasive writing skills experience, including ability to convey complex information in a clear manner to a diverse audience;

  • Experience with writing grants for EU institutional donors and governments

  • Ability to operate in an international setting

  • Is a very organized and proactive individual

  • Strong fluency in English. Fluency in any other language is a plus.

  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and project management skills;

  • Excellent people skills;

  • Strong interpersonal, networking, and diplomacy skills;

  • Able to demonstrate an ‘all-hands-on deck’ attitude when needed;

  • Willing to go ‘above and beyond’ for the beneficiaries’ needs and best interests, when required;

  • Able to work under tight and occasionally shifting deadlines;

  • Able to work fruitfully and professionally with multiple cultures and professions;

  • Willingness to relocate to Brussels after an onboarding period in Bucharest (if already in Brussels the onboarding process would take place remotely)

About the job

  • Work closely with the Director of Partnerships

  • Identify, build and maintain close relationships with relevant national, regional and European and EU stakeholders

  • Lead on grant proposal development and submission for EU institutional donors and European public funders—preparing and organizing materials for proposals, and submitting and monitoring grant applications

  • Maintain grant compliance and reporting, including outcome measurement and grant budgets

  • Participate in and actively contribute to international events and high-level forums
