Annual Report 2024
Summary
2024 has been a critical year globally for our organisation, with active interventions in over 12 countries.
In Romania, Commit Global’s Civic Lab—originally Code for Romania—remains the innovation hub. It develops and pilots scalable digital tools like Dopomoha and PTSD Help before they’re rolled out internationally. In Moldova, Commit Global is deploying disaster preparedness platforms (covering first aid, fire safety, nuclear and driving safety), an election observation tool (“Vote Monitor”), the Website Factory for NGOs, and Civic Tech 911 consultation services in multiple languages—all in partnership with local NGOs and authorities.
We have played a pivotal role in the 2024 Georgian parliamentary elections, supporting 31 Georgian NGOs and 14 international organizations, which mobilized over 3,000 election observers using Vote Monitor to document events in real time. Observers covered 1,840 polling stations, answered over 83,000 survey entries, and flagged 3,107 violations, while 4,424 urgent alerts were submitted through the system. The Website Factory platform is also available to NGOs in Georgia, Moldova, and Romania.
In Armenia, we are adapting two flagship digital tools: PTSD Help, a free self-help mental health app available in Armenian and Russian; and Law Made Simple, a multilingual legal‑rights platform to support refugees and economic migrants. These solutions are developed in collaboration with the Armenian Progressive Youth, Democracy Development Foundation, Estonian Refugee Council, and the Coalition to Stop Violence Against Women in Armenia.
Our work in Ukraine stemmed from its origins in Code for Romania: since Russia’s full‑scale invasion in February 2022, we have built a humanitarian civic-tech ecosystem including Dopomoha—helping over 2.5 million Ukrainian refugees—as well as systems for housing aid, healthcare case management (for chronic illness, HIV, cancer), Women Center services, PTSD Help, Law Made Simple, and Website Factory for NGOs and we continue to maintain this infrastructure ever since.
In Lebanon, we support local and international actors—such as UN agencies and NGOs like Nusaned—in areas of food security, healthcare logistics, gender-based violence case management, youth vocational training, mental health platform optimization, and Civic Tech 911. We are digitizing the food voucher system for Nusaned, significantly reducing manual processing time. In Jordan, we are delivering solutions in partnership with the Jordanian Red Crescent Society (JNRCS) as well as JIF, enabling real-time tracking and enhanced operational efficiency. The Website Factory platform is also available in Arabic with tutorials and webinars tailored to Jordanian NGOs.
In the Netherlands, Commit Global hosts its headquarters in The Hague and drives strategic initiatives like wevote4eu., Civic Tech 911 services, and the Website Factory platform. Commit Global also offers Website Factory webinars across Cyprus, Bulgaria, Poland, and Mexico, adapting training and deployment to local contexts.
