Fieldwork at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border

Commit Global team's firsthand account of fieldwork at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border, where they engaged with displaced communities from Nagorno Karabakh

Author: Commit Global

Our colleagues proceeded with their fieldwork and participated in a visit organized by the Armenian NGO Women’s Support Center, at the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan, where approximately 700 individuals displaced from Nagorno Karabakh reside.

Throughout the day, they also visited the local government, which is highly engaged in supporting refugees by assisting with registration, aiding in finding rental accommodations, deploying mobile support teams, and managing donations. They also toured one of their donation storage centers and a local polyclinic. Unfortunately, smaller communities like this one receive limited allocated resources, including support from non-governmental organizations.
